Advocate Spot-On for Large Cats (4–8 kg)
Type: Broad-spectrum monthly spot-on for cats combining imidacloprid and moxidectin for external and internal parasite control.
What It Treats
- Kills adult fleas and prevents re-infestation for 4 weeks.
- Treats ear mites (Otodectes cynotis) and notoedric mange.
- Treats and controls gastrointestinal roundworms (Toxocara cati) and hookworms (Ancylostoma tubaeforme).
- Prevents heartworm disease (Dirofilaria immitis) with monthly use.
- Helps in management of flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) as part of a comprehensive plan.
Active Ingredients (per pipette)
- Imidacloprid: 80 mg
- Moxidectin: 8 mg
- Volume: 0.8 ml
Dosage and Administration
- Use one 0.8 ml pipette for cats weighing >4–8 kg.
- Apply once monthly to the skin at the base of the skull; part the fur and empty the entire contents on one spot.
- For cats >8 kg, use an appropriate combination of pipettes as advised by a veterinarian.
Use Notes
- For cats and kittens from 9 weeks of age and ≥1 kg (use correct size by weight).
- Avoid bathing immediately after application; allow the site to dry fully.
- Treat all pets in the household with suitable products to control environmental flea stages.
Precautions
- For external use only; avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and broken skin.
- Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to imidacloprid or moxidectin.
